About WhatsTheTally
Accurate, free financial calculators built for real decisions.
Why We Built This
Every good free financial calculator we found came with a catch — a registration wall, an email capture, or results requiring a paid subscription. Personal finance decisions shouldn't require handing over your data.
Every calculator runs in your browser using JavaScript. We do not store or sell your financial data. No account or email required.
We don't sell your data or have a premium tier. These are tools built to be used.

How We Keep Data Accurate
Tax calculators use IRS Publication 15 and official Revenue Procedures for federal brackets, standard deductions, and FICA rates. State income tax rates are sourced from state revenue department publications and updated annually before each tax year. All 50 states and D.C. are included.
All bracket calculations use actual progressive math — not approximations. Real estate formulas follow standard industry definitions consistent with appraisal and investment analysis practice. We review every calculator when new IRS data is released each fall.
Limitations & Disclaimer
All results are estimates for educational and planning purposes only. They are not a substitute for advice from a licensed CPA, financial advisor, mortgage professional, or attorney. Actual tax withholding, investment returns, and lending qualification depend on individual circumstances not fully captured by any calculator.
